Get Nottinghamshire Connected is our Digital and Social Inclusion Project working across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to support the most excluded people across the city and county gain the essential skills and confidence they need to start using technology, and get connected.
In a rapidly increasing digital world, where digital services are becoming the default option for accessing public services, information, entertainment and each other – it has never been more important for us to ensure everyone can benefit from getting online.
Patient digital services and tools are growing, the NHS App has already been rolled out and residents across our region will soon be able to access their own Personal Health and Care Record.
Digital tools such as these can empower patients to take control of their own health, care and general wellbeing. However we know lots of people face barriers to using apps and other technology. That's where Get Nottinghamshire Connected schemes come in.
We have introduced a number of schemes that provide support within the community and to our population:
Support phone line
We have a dedicated support line available for people to contact which offers free IT help.
Whether you’re struggling to get online, need some help with using particular applications, want to get started on the NHS App or access some free training. We’re here to support you in getting connected.

Tools, resources and useful information
In the current situation it's more important than ever to ensure that everyone can benefit from digital. We've created resources to help guide people to get trusted health advice, learn about video calling and more.
Digital Support Hubs
Our Digital Support Hubs offer free training and support in a community space where people can learn how to use technology and digital devices through informal learning and guidance from volunteers.
Digital Ambassadors Network
Our Digital Ambassadors Network is made up of passionate individuals within our workforce that help us promote the benefits of getting online.
We turn members of staff and volunteers into Digital Champions by building their digital skills and confidence so they’re able to others.
Tablet Lending Scheme
One of the main barriers to digital inclusion for some people is the cost of equipment and access to the internet.
To address this, we intend to introduce a tablet lending scheme to organisations and groups across the community.
