Digital exclusion is a big social issue. Especially in a world where using technology to access public services, information, entertainment and each other has rapidly become the default option.
However many people can't afford the latest tech. Some have never touched a computer or smartphone and plenty of us lack the digital skills and confidence to ask for help.
Get Nottinghamshire Connected is our Digital and Social Inclusion Project working across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. Through our local schemes, we help to break down barriers so people can get equal access to health and care services digitally. We help people learn how to get the most out of technology and support them in gaining the essential skills and confidence they need to start using it.
The world is going online and we don't want anyone to be left behind.
Our Vision
To improve digital and social inclusion across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire by reducing health inequalities and ensuring socio-economic factors do not disadvantage access to digital services.
Through the introduction of a number of innovative models, we support people to get online and become more confident and capable of using digital tools to support their health, care and wellbeing needs.
You can find more on how we aim to achieve this here.

Our Community and Voluntary Sector Collaboration scheme offers grants to local third sector organisations wanting to embed digital skills support into their work.
This work focuses on we reaching out to the most vulnerable and excluded people across our region to help them gain the skills, confidence, motivation and connectivity to do more with digital.
It also aims to help people improve their health, care and wellbeing through targeted, person centred support.
If your group or organisation can help us improve the digital divide in your area, visit our CVS Collaboration Page and application form for more details.
